As seen in People Magazine

golden_globe.jpgAs Matrix kicks off its 25th anniversary, power brand Biolage is giving back -- and People Magazine is taking notice. In the just-out January 17th issue, Biolage's Get Glam/Do Good suite at the Golden Globes is prominently featured in the magazine's must-read "StyleWatch" section. The placement calls out both Matrix Celebrity Stylist Enzo Angileri and the charity component of this endeavor, while also underscoring our Hollywood alignment with mentions of Charlize Theron and Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria. Additional A+ coverage of the Get Glam/Do Good suite appears in the "Snippets" section of today's WWD, where Cera-Repair receives special note.

The suite, a partnership between Biolage and Glamour magazine, will be up and running January 14th and 15th at the luxurious L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. In addition to Cera-Repair treatments and gifting from Biolage, our suite also features a Giorgio Armani Cosmetics area staffed by celebrity makeup artist, Tim Quinn. Tune in to NBC on Sunday, January 16th, to see Golden Globes nominee Charlize walk the red carpet with hair designed by Enzo and Matrix - and stay tuned for news on celebrity suite attendees!

Celebrities are talking about Matrix

Duff.jpg

It's official -- Hollywood is head-over-heels for Matrix. Rave reviews from celebrities and stylists around Tinseltown:

Lucy Liu sent a lovely note complimenting Matrix's Trix, Sleek and Amplify lines by saying, "Thanks so much for my lovely gift basket- totally unexpected and so wonderful!!!! The Matrix products are so fantastic!!!!!!"

Hilary Duff sported a Sleek 'do for this year's MTV VMAs, while The O.C.'s Rachel Bilson often sports a Sleek style on the hit Fox show. Avril Lavigne, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Katie Holmes and American Idol's Kimberly Locke are also fans of the line -- as is Phantom of The Opera's Emmy Rossum. Mena Suvari says, "I love Matrix Sleek.look Shampoo and Conditioner. They are very light on my hair and don't weigh it down. After cleansing, I like to use the leave-in ends serum. Because my hair is colored, and especially when I am working on a film and my hair is being styled everyday, the serum adds softness and shine back to my hair." Rebecca Gayheart adds, "I recently had a wedding and wanted to straighten my curls and go for the straight look...Sleek.look Iron Smoother not only protected from the heat of all of the appliances, but made my hair soft, smooth and so shiny." Fergie of The Black-Eyed Peas croons "When I use Sleek, my hair feels and smells better. Thanx."

Among Curl.life's many fans are Gretchen Mol, Drew Barrymoreand Mischa Barton, while Martina McBride dazzled on the Grammys red carpet with Amplify-styled hair - and Veronica Mars' Kristen Bell looked A-list glamorous at this year's Emmys thanks to Trix.

One of The O.C.'s talented stylists uses Amplify Root Lifter on Benjamin McKenzie and "loves the effect it has on his hair." This product is also used on the show's Kelly Rowan, as is FreezeTrix.

Law & Order's Elisabeth Roehm praised Biolage by saying, "After being teased, blown-out, fried and generally beaten up at Law and Order on a daily basis, I must say thanks for the wonderful Matrix
products. Your gift was very generous and most appreciated.”

Bill Rancic, Donald Trump's Apprentice would hire Matrix in a second, noting that with "such a busy schedule now, Trix products have been great for me. Using such high quality products really makes a difference." Fellow first season Apprentice contestant Heidi Bressler says “[As you all know] my hair was a frizzy mess on “The Apprentice.” I started to use a product line called Sleek.look by Matrix. Within one week I noticed a major change in my hair. It is so soft and shiny and for some reason it only takes me 20 minutes to blow-dry my hair - (it used to take 45). My hair stylist even commented on how good my hair looks. I got my friends and even my sister hooked on the Matrix line. I am a product junkie and this is the only product that will ever touch my hair. Thank you Matrix!! You guys are hired!!!”

Meredith Viera states, "my hair has never been healthier or silkier since using the Biolage products. I also gave them to my daughter, whose reaction is exactly the same." Hair/Makeup Stylist for The
View, Deirdre Flaherty adds "I use all the Biolage Color Care products on [Meredith Viera]. In my opinion, her hair has never looked or felt better in the eight years we've worked together." Flaherty continues "I use the Amplify Spray-Gel on Elisabeth Hasselbeck. It creates so much volume."

EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION stylist Michelle Spieler enthuses "I’m the only hair/makeup person on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and have 6 people to get camera ready in a matter of an hour to hour and a half each morning. With that said, I need products that are efficient and easy to use, so I love using Matrix. I use a ton of FreezeTrix, which not only holds styles well, but also makes our Star Wagon smell great! Also, the best thing on the market for ‘flyaways’ is Amplify Gel-Wax; it keeps both me and my Director of Photography happy. In addition, Amplify Hair Spray is a great hairspray for teasing because it’s so light and never sticky. I recommend these products to everyone I encounter. Thanks Matrix!"

With another Awards season just around the corner, stay tuned to see how Matrix holds their spot as Hollywood's mane attraction!
